လုပ်ငန်းခွင်မှာ စမတ်ကျကျနဲ့ အင်္ဂလိပ်လို ပြောဆိုဆက်ဆံချင်တယ်ဆိုရင်တော့ လုပ်ငန်းခွင်သုံး Business English Phrases နဲ့ idioms တွေက သိထားသင့်ပါတယ်။ ယှဥ်ပြိုင်မှုတွေများလာတဲ့ လုပ်ငန်းခွင်တွေမှာ Business English အသုံးအနှုန်းတွေကို တတ်မြောက်ထားမယ်ဆိုရင် သင့်အနေနဲ့ လုပ်ငန်းခွင်မှာ အားသာချက်တွေရှိမှာ အသေအချာပါပဲ။ 

ဒါကြောင့် နေ့စဥ်လုပ်ငန်းခွင်မှာ အသုံးပြုနိုင်ပြီး အကျိုးရှိစေမယ့် အသုံးအနှုန်းလေးတွေကို ထုတ်နှုတ်တင်ပြပေးလိုက်ပါတယ်။

 

  1. Face the facts = to accept the reality to deal with the truth

 

အမှန်တရားကို ရင်ဆိုင်သည်ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပာယ်ပါ။ တကယ်လက်တွေ့ဖြစ်နေတဲ့ အကြောင်း

အရာတွေကို ရင်ဆိုင်ရမယ် ထောက်ခံရမယ်လို့ဆိုလိုပါတယ်။ 

 

Eg. You need to face the facts about the drop in sales.

ရောင်းအားနှုန်းတွေကျနေတာကို မင်းရင်ဆိုင်နိုင်ရမယ်။

       Eventually, you will have to face the facts.

နောက်ဆုံးမှာတော့…မင်းအမှန်တရားကို ရင်ဆိုင်ရမှာပဲ။

 

  1. Think outside the box = to think creatively

 

တစ်ခုခုကို တီထွင်ဆန်းသစ်စွာတွေးခေါ်ဖို့ ပြောလိုတဲ့ အခါမှာ အသုံးပြုနိုင်ပါတယ်။

 

Eg. Our company always encourages thinking outside the box.

ကျွန်တော်တို့ ကုမ္ပဏီက တီထွင်ဆန်းသစ်စွာတွေးခေါ်နိုင်ဖို့ကို အမြဲအားပေးပါတယ်။

       We must think outside the box to solve this financial problem.

ဒီငွေရေးကြေးရေးပြဿနာကိုဖြေရှင်းဖို့ ငါတို့ တီထွင်ဆန်းသစ်ပြီး တွေးမှဖြစ်တော့မယ်။

        

  1. Has an eye for (something) = has an ability to notice for (something); color or design

လူတစ်ယောက်က ကာလာ (သို့မဟုတ်) ဒီဇိုင်းတွေကို ကြည့်တဲ့နေရာမှာ တော်တယ်၊ အမြင်ရှိတယ်လို့ ပြောချင်တဲ့ အခါမှာ သုံးပါတယ်။

 

Eg. Emily has an eye for beauty and color.She will make great sales for our company. 

အမ်မလီက အရောင်နဲ့အလှအပတွေကို ကောင်းကောင်းကြည့်တတ်တယ်။သူကငါတို့ ကုမ္ပဏီအတွက် ရောင်းအားကောင်းအောင်လုပ်ပေးလိမ့်မယ်။

    I just don’t have an eye for design, so I need you to help me pick out paint colors.

ငါကတော့   ဒီဇိုင်းတွေနဲ့ပတ်သက်ပြီး    အမြင်မရှိဘူး    နင်ပဲငါ့ကိုဆေးချယ်ဖို့   အရောင်ကူပြီးရွေးပေးလိုက်တော့။

 

  1. By the book = strictly according to the rules

 

တစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို ပြုလုပ်တဲ့ နေရာမှာ ပုံသေကားချပ် စာအုပ်ကြီးအတိုင်း လုပ်ဆောင်တယ်လို့ ပြောချင်တဲ့ အခါမှာ အသုံးပြုပါတယ်။

 

Eg. He always does everything by the book.

သူကလေ ဘာလုပ်လုပ်စာအုပ်ကြီးအတိုင်းပဲ အမြဲလုပ်တာ။

 

  1. A head start(n) = an advantage to start over everyone else

 

သူများတွေထက်သာလွန်ပြီးတော့ ကိုယ်ကဦးဆောင်နိုင်တဲ့ နေရာမှာ အသုံးပြုပါတယ်။

 

Eg. I know we’ve got a head start over our competitors.

ငါတို့တွေက ငါတို့ပြိုင်ဘက်တွေထက်ပိုပြီးတော့ ရှေ့ရောက်နေပြီဆိုတာ ငါသိတယ်။

 

    Being able to speak Mandarin will give her a head start over the other 

    Candidates.

  တရုတ်စကားပြောနိုင်တာက သူ့ကို တစ်ခြားပြိုင်ဘက်တွေထက် ရှေ့ရောက်စေတယ်။

 

  1. Kick off = to start out

 

အကြောင်းအရာတစ်ခုခု ၊ တစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို စတင်သည်ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ရပါတယ်။ 

 

Eg. I’d like to kick off the discussion with a few statistics.

ဒီဆွေးနွေးပွဲကို ကျွန်တော် စာရင်းလေးတစ်ချို့နဲ့ စတင်ချင်ပါတယ်။

      What time shall we kick off?

ကျွန်တော်တို့ ဘယ်အချိန်စကြမလဲ။

 

  1. Shoulder (for something) = accept responsibility for, take the blame for

 

တစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို ပြုလုပ်တဲ့အခါမှ လွဲချော်သွားရင်ဖြစ်ဖြစ်၊ မှားယွင်းသွားရင်ဖြစ်ဖြစ် ကိုယ်က တာဝန်ခံတယ်၊ အပြစ်တင်ခံတဲ့ နေရာမှာအသုံးပြုပါတယ်။

 

Eg. Who is going to shoulder the blame for this loss?

ဒီဆုံးရှုံးမှုအတွက် ဘယ်သူအပြစ်တင်ခံမှာလဲ။ ဘယ်သူတာဝန်ယူမှာလဲ။

 

  1. Gut feeling = a sense or impression that your subconscious has about a person or situation

 

အကြောင်းအရာတစ်ခုခုကို မသိစိတ်က ခံစားမိတဲ့ အခြေအနေမျိုးမှာ အသုံးပြုနိုင်ပါတယ်။

 

Eg. My gut feeling is that one way or another  we are going to hit the target sales this month.

ဒီလကို ငါတို့မှန်းထားတဲ့အတိုင်း တစ်နည်းနည်းနဲ့တော့ ရောင်းအားထိမယ်လို့ ငါ့မသိစိတ်က ခံစားမိနေတယ်။ 

      Well, my immediate gut feeling was to refuse.

 ငါ့ရဲ့ မသိစိတ်က ချက်ချင်း ငြင်းဆိုဖို့ကို ပြောနေတယ်။

 

  1. My hands are tied = someone is unable to act freely because something (such as a rule or law) prevents

အကြောင်းအရာတစ်စုံတစ်ခု (စည်းမျဥ်း၊ စည်းကမ်း၊ ဥပဒေ) စသည်တို့ကြောင့် လွတ်လွတ်လပ်လပ် လုပ်ကိုင်လို့ မရနိုင်တဲ့အခါမှာ၊ သင်လုပ်နိုင်တဲ့ ဘောင်အတွင်းမှာ မရှိတဲ့ခါမှာ အသုံးပြုပါတယ်။

 

Eg. I’d really like to help you but I’m afraid my hands are tied.

ငါမင်းကိုတကယ်ပဲကူညီချင်ပါတယ်ဒါပေမဲ့အားနာပါတယ် ငါဘာမှလုပ်ပေးလို့မရဘူးဖြစ်နေတယ်။

    I'd like to raise their salaries but my hands are tied.

 သူတို့လစာတွေကိုငါတိုးပေးချင်ပါတယ် ဒါပေမဲ့ ငါလုပ်ပေးလို့ရတဲ့အပိုင်းမဟုတ်ဘူးဖြစ်နေတယ်။

     

  1.  Shoulder to shoulder (with) = physically close together;united together to achieve a shared goal

 

လိုချင်တဲ့ရည်မှန်းချက်ကိုရရှိဖို့အတူတကွပူးပေါင်းလုပ်ဆောင်တဲ့နေရာမှာ အသုံးပြုနိုင်ပါတယ်။

 

Eg. By working shoulder to shoulder, together we can increase the overall performance of the company.

အားလုံးအတူတကွပူးပေါင်းလုပ်ဆောင်ကြမယ်ဆိုရင် ကုမ္ပဏီရဲ့ စွမ်းဆောင်ချက်တွေကို ငါတို့ မြင့်တက်လာအောင်လုပ်နိုင်ပါတယ်။ 

 They stick shoulder to shoulder throughout the hard time.
