rom August 2020, the school wishes to appoint an outstanding teacher of Drama to join our forward looking arts faculty within our Secondary School.
A Drama specialist, able to teach KS3 and IGCSE Drama and who would be able to offer a second subject. You will challenge your students to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and implement innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience and outcomes.
Drama is a growing subject within the arts faculty and is highly valued by the school with a growing number of students taking arts subjects. We are looking for a truly outstanding teacher who is a team player and will support the progress of students and extend and inspire students.
Professional Requirements
The successful candidate will:
Candidates with experience of teaching in an international secondary school are especially welcome. Experience of working at a CIS member / accredited school would be an added advantage but is not essential.

• Teaching and Learning
To support the learning in the classroom
To be aware of and uphold classroom agreements and support the teacher in creating a good working environment.
To promote inclusion of all students.
To help maintain good classroom discipline by following behaviour management strategies set out by the teacher and by following the school behaviour policy.
To work with individual and small groups of students
To assist the movement of students around the school during transition times and at home time.
To escort students to other areas as necessary (toilet, medical room, etc).
To supervise students at lunch or break as scheduled on the duty roster.
To assist the teacher on school visits.
To report any concerns about child welfare to the class teacher
To attend collaborative planning sessions if the schedule allows (or meet with the teacher to go through planning)
To follow the school safeguarding procedures for working with children.
To be aware of and follow school policies and procedures
To encourage the use of English by acting as a positive role model
To cover classes when the teacher is absent
Administrative tasks to support class teacher
Organizing library cards
Photocopying
Taking the register (if required)
Filing of work
Making resources when required
Mounting displays
Updating the house point spreadsheet on a weekly basis
Informing the Primary admin assistant when students need house point certificates.
Keeping the classroom books and student files organised and neat.

8. Enthusiastically participate in collaborative co-curricular and extracurricular teams; draw students into these projects
9. Enthusiastically promote school culture and practices, as well as instructional strategies and student rules
10. to find the different making artworks according to the topics for different levels of the student
11. to make the lists of art supplies what we need for the different topics

1. Knowledge of art history and different art genres in order to teach a range of art styles

4. Bachelors degree in any graduate/ better in Fine Arts or equivalent
5. Initiative, communication skills, planning and organizing, patience and stress tolerance, adaptability, innovative
6. Have strong skills in art of teaching, assessment and evaluation
7. Help students document their process where relevant
8. Must be have around one or two years experiences in teaching.
