The position of Head of Humanities is also open to suitably experienced and well- qualified or aspiring middle leaders; more details available upon request.

As a teacher of Physics, you will lead the planning, delivery and review of teaching this subject through the school from KS3 through to A Level. An innovative and experienced physicist, your love of subject and science more generally will inspire and encourage students to achieve great results in your classes. As part of the STEM faculty, you will enjoy collaborating with colleagues and working to foster interdisciplinary projects and approaches to learning.

As part of a busy international school, you will be happy to contribute to the wider life of the school, offering After School clubs, and enrichment activities to support curriculum delivery.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and be committed to the school’s goals and objectives
  • Educate students by planning and developing course of study consistent with the Cambridge international Examinations (CIE) guidelines

  • Promote and be committed to securing high expectations for learning

  • Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand) 
  • Must be able to communicate in English

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. GENERAL SERVICES

  • Performs executive secretarial functions for Head Teacher

  • Relieves HT of details which do not require their personal attention by the use of discretion and thorough knowledge of district/ office policies and procedures;

  • Uses a variety of automated systems equipment to produce such materials as correspondence, reports, contracts, specifications and/or other data;

  • Uses computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments;

  • Maintains calendar of appointments for the HT, ensuring the HT is apprised of all appointments and changes as well as matters requiring immediate attention;

  • Takes notes of minutes of meetings or hearings and prepare them to be in final document format;

  • Answers telephone and responds to requested information and/or refers inquires to the appropriate party;

  • Arranges appointments and meetings and prepares materials for them;

  • Compiles a variety of data to be used as a basis for reports and prepares reports or statements;

  • Maintains files for the HT, ensuring that material is properly marked and accessible for immediate use by the HT;

  • Performs responsible clerical work in the maintenance of complex and confidential records and files, both manually and by use of computers;

  • Opens, sorts, and screens incoming mail and answers routine correspondence;
