DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach Chinese language to students according to school policies.
• Develop interactive instructional programs to engage students in learning process.
• Prepare instruction materials based on student learning styles and interests.
• Update course materials based on changing curriculum plan.
• Maintain student attendance and academic records.
• Create structured, positive, and learning environment for students.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding their children’s performance.
• Participate in staff meetings, conferences, workshops, school committees and team teachings.
• Monitor student’s academic performance and provide feedback to improve student learning and developmental skills.
• Maintain strong and positive working relationships with students, parents and other teaching staffs.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Teaching Certificates 

Experience: Prefers 2 year classroom teaching experience

Are you an enthusiastic, well qualified and experienced Primary/ KS2 teacher looking for a new challenge in a vibrant and growing school? The British School Yangon is looking to appoint an exceptional teacher to join our team.

You will need knowledge and experience of the Primary Curriculum (English National Curriculum) and will ideally have experience of working in an international learning environment and particularly, supporting the needs of EAL children.

A creative and engaging teacher, you will enjoy preparing and delivering top quality, age-appropriate units of learning, in order to ensure that all children reach their potential. As part of a busy day school community you will be keen to contribute to the wider life of the school, offering after school clubs and supporting children’s learning and progress beyond the classroom.
